Lena Groen

JOB TITLE

At TFN Lena has been supporting her clients in navigating the energy transition, from structuring funding for green hydrogen production sites to developing international expansion and financing strategies for EV charging operators and manufacturers. Passionate about driving climate solutions, she leverages her investment and strategic expertise to accelerate the transition to a sustainable future.

Lena brings over two decades of experience in private equity investing and investment banking advisory across diverse geographies and sectors. Before joining TFN, Lena led International IH’s (Inter-IKEA’s private equity strategy) global buyout and climate-focused investments, deploying capital across private equity funds and co-investments in the US, Europe, and Asia. She previously managed direct private equity investments in high-growth consumer sectors in Western Europe at Langholm Capital, a UK-based PE firm backed by Rabobank and Unilever. Earlier in her career, Lena worked as an M&A advisor at Rabobank, specializing in Industrials and Business Services across the Benelux region and the US.

Lena holds a Master in Financial Economics from The Erasmus University of Rotterdam (Cum Laude) and a Bachelor in Social Science from University College Utrecht (with Honours).

Outside of work, Lena stays active chasing after her children and dog — when she finds a quiet moment, she enjoys practicing yoga.

Lena co-leads the UK activities for TFN and is based in London.
